Financial Sustainability and Our Future
Without consistent voluntary contributions, Homegroup.Online will be unable to sustain its operations. A year ago, it became clear that the 0.9% fee alone would not support this digital Central Office long-term. In response, we reintroduced the principle of Tradition Eight: the idea that groups should compensate for the professional services they receive.
Regrettably, current funding has not been sufficient to meet our operational costs. To date, voluntary contributions from the majority of our groups have not aligned with the actual cost of the services we provide. We invite each group to ensure their support accurately reflects the professional compliance and financial services they receive.
Accountability and Transparency
Later this year, Homegroup.Online will publicly report our Profit and Loss (P&L) statement. We will clearly identify line items where shortfalls exist, allowing groups to see the “goal line” of sustainability—the point where we move from a deficit to a balanced budget.
Once Homegroup.Online becomes fully self-supporting through voluntary contributions:
- The 0.9% fee will be discontinued.
- Annual Surpluses: Any surplus funds will be rebated back to the groups, likely on an annual basis.
Looking Ahead
Over the coming year, all accounts will be evaluated. Some groups may enter a review period to determine the feasibility of a continued partnership. Our goal is to ensure that this relationship remains spiritually and financially sound for both the group and Homegroup.Online.
